Unless you have a lot of property, assets, or have accumulated a lot of debt as a couple, you don't need a divorce lawyer -- I know you have your own legal expertise, which would be so much more than adequate, but the law (in most states) is easy enough most decently educated non-lawyers can even represent themselves (says me, as a currently divorcing English professor representing herself in a divorce).
